Hon är även forskningschef på stiftelsen Gapminder. Professor Helena Nordenstedt är den som tog över en stor del av Hans Roslings undervisning i global hälsa vid Karolinska, när Rosling 2007 bestämde sig för att ägna mer tid åt stiftelsen Gapminder. Hon minns hur allt började – när Hans fick ett infall att mäta hur mycket hans studenter egentligen visste om sin omvärld. Det sade Helena Nordenstedt, föreläsare på Gapminder och forskarassistent i global hälsa på Karolinska Institutet. Hon var inbjuden till tankesmedjans samtalsserie på Kulturhuset Stadsteatern den 22 februari, och höll en interaktiv föreläsning i Hans Roslings anda, där hon även testade publikens kunskaper om den globala hälsan.
